[attr="class","likedosub"]Persona
PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Mischievous, reckless, upfront and with confidence en masse, Runaan is someone people feel difficult to approach. He seems overwhelming in his being, zealous to a fault and generally too upfront to have an engaging conversation with. He behaves too much like an arrogant know-it-all most of the time and can be exhausting to have around. He can be reckless and rude when he really shouldn't be, often driving people away and sits on a high horse he has no business sitting on.
His haughtiness knows no bounds. He walks through life with his nose held high. He doesn't help for free and does nearly everything solely for personal gain. He sees almost everyone else as not worth his time or effort, making his personal connections run towards null. He is a typical lone wolf who doesn't feel he should be living off of anyone's merit next to his own. Naturally, this makes life or him very difficult at times. But never unmanageable. Everything he does, he does for the sake of regaining his lost identity and restoring his memory.
Runaan's stubbornness and drive are difficult to rival. If he wants something, he will get it. No matter what. His attitude towards life is extremely success-oriented. No obstacle is too great, and no distance too far. In that spirit, Runaan can be extremely overwhelming in confrontation. Mainly because he doesn't like dawdling around much. Small talk is rarely his thing, nor is working out a specific plan. He likes to headbutt his way through life. Unbelievably impatient, Runaan is quick to take action, rarely thinking beforehand and relying on his own devices to bring him through whatever peril he may face.
Runaan is a thrill seeker. He constantly seeks adventure and mystery, often in different fields of science and magic. Without a day to waste, he will constantly be on the lookout for anything interesting that might happen in the world or in the laboratory. For any potential suspicious things going down. And naturally in a world with magic there is no shortage of such events. He also doesn't think much of morality or justice. Having no qualms to employ thievery and trickery to get by, he does not deny that he can be something of a con artist. He also likes stirring up trouble verbally. He was gifted with a quick wit and is not afraid to use it to rile up anyone he thinks is worthy enough to confront.
He is magically talented, intelligent and has a great work morale. He hates lazing around with nothing to do and has the inherent motivation to spend every waking minute being productive and improving himself. Despite a lot of his shortcomings he has acquired a multitude of attributes and skills that have allowed him to walk through life completely on his own.
LIKES: Books, reading, work, science, adventure, danger, puzzles, solitude, campfires
DISLIKES: Relaxation, violence, confrontation, aggression, being wrong, small talk, politics
MOTIVATIONS:
The only drive Runaan currently has is the desire to restore his memory. It drives everything he does. Finding out what happened to him, why he is in the body of a young boy, what the name he carries with himself means, why he woke up somewhere in the badlands and how he lost his memory in the first place.
FEARS:
His primary fear is never discovering what he wants to know. The lack of knowledge, the ability to never know what happened to him. The possibility that he will never get to know who he is. The isolation, the lack of personality, the lack of memory. It's the only thing he really fears. Not moving forward anymore
HISTORY: It started the day he saw that book. In the royal palace of Drackenstein, it sung to him. It guided him. It whispered into his young mind, telling him to pick it up, carry it away, open it. The headstrong and self-determined child didn't open it. But took it away. Stole it from Drackenstein. Kept it hidden.
The war broke out, the boy could guess why they came. But something kept him from telling the truth. Every time he confess his crime, end the war and bring the book back, he could only lie. There was a silent voice that spoke to him, lulled him into doing its bidding. It was gentle, warm, it shrouded his senses. He fought against it. Deepening his studies into magic he tried to undo what he had done. Bring the book back that forced him to keep it safe. But every day he spent around the book his control slipped a bit further. Although aware of what he was doing, what he saying, his lies and his trickery, Runaan kept the book hidden. Fully aware of the consequences, he took it upon himself to unveil the mystery of that book.
The more time passed, the more he knew that it was a force not to be trifled with. Sinister, full of wrath and passion. He dared not to open it. Conducted research on how to destroy it. On how to make it so he never stole it in the first place. Time travel, returning to nothingness, mind control, curses. His research lead him far. His last chance was seemingly turning back time, to a point where the book was not stolen. The war would not break out. To a time where he could warn Drackenstein of the sinister nature of that book.
Twenty years had past, he had grown older. Mature, but distant from the rest of the world, bearing the greatest lie that he was forced to tell. But then it happened, he slipped. A dear friend of him fell on the frontlines, and it was all because he let himself be manipulated, used and toyed with. He fell into sorrow, and he lost control. He was not careful enough, let anguish wash over him, failed to keep resisting the voice. His body was not his own. All he could was watch himself grab the book, walk out to the front lines and rip the pages open.
For a while, there was only black. A very long darkness that shrouded his mind. He couldn't see, couldn't hear, couldn't sense anything. He thought himself dead, and this endless black as his punishment.
But he woke up somewhere, at some point in time, cold droplets hitting his face. With no memory of who he was, how he got there or why his body looked the way it did, he started walking until he reached civilization. No one knew him, no one knew how he arrived here, no one had seen his face before. All he had with him were a pack of books that he woke up with, and a letter on the inside of his pocket which's washed out ink gave a name: "Runaan". Deciding that it had to be his name, he was determined to regain his lost memory. With not even the slightest clue where to start, he took to using his magical abilities to get by, studying the books he had with him every step along the way. Written by a "Runaan of Madiya", they told stories about time magic, and the manipulation of space. He would study them, see if the name lead him anywhere.

NAME: Arc of Time
TYPE: Caster, Time
PRIMARY OR SECONDARY: Primary
DESCRIPTION: Arc of Time is magic that allows the user to manipulate time to achieve a variety of effects. It can rewind, fast forward or freeze the time of a multitude of things, most of them non-sentient. The magic can affect organisms, and in some cases even sentience. This magic can manipulate nearly any existing thing, but it can not create or mold things. It can only affect the condition of things. Additionally, Gravity magic can have adverse effects on time manipulation and can cause it to go haywire and seize to listen to the control of the user.
Passively, the magic gives the user chronometry, or the ability to perfectly perceive the time of himself and the things around him. As such, the user always knows when in time he is, as well as the ability to perceive an object's or environment's past and all its probable futures. Additionally, it gives the user the ability to fix small everyday non-organic, non-sentient things and restore them back to a former state, repaired state.
A time magic user also doesn't seem to age normally. Nor do they heal like normal people, although it may seem that way. Rather than their body doing its best to restore organic structure and casting out diseases, a time magic user is stuck in time, and their body seems to always return to a "status quo" of some past, healthier version of themselves. As such, a user of time magic can heal from almost any injury or disease, albeit at a rate that is similarly slow to that of regular living beings.
