Wailing cries echoed through the vast expanse of sand. War raged on and in the midst of such bloodshed, the tides were slowly beginning to turn. A presence had emerged onto the battlefield — a presence that would change this world and the way in which it was perceived.. forever. Clouds began to darken while the Madiyan forces seemed to part like waves. Although their slaughter was inevitably fast at the helm of a vastly superior Drackenstinian militia, their hearts were true, brave. If they wouldn't cower in the face of the pinnacle of military might, what made them recede in this way? That very presence soon revealed itself. Seven figures appeared from the darkened clouds above, landing into the sand below each sending up a billowing mask of sand to temporarily shift their figures into silhouettes. As the sand dispersed, their attire didn't aid in their recognition. Six of them donned black cloaks which obscured everything from head-to-toe aside from glowing red-eyeholes which shone iridescently within the darkness of their face. One, however, stood out amongst the rest. Mostly naked aside from traditional Madiyan finery, golden necklaces that hung loosely from his slim shoulders. A white robe lined with a metal of similar quality covered his lower-half while the rest of him remained exposed. Aside from that, shoulder-length brown hair and eery golden, yellow eyes that seemed to pierce through the battlefield like a Drackenstinian arrow. Soldiers glanced amongst themselves at the random appearance. They didn't dare move though. These figures, seven of them in total, commanded an aura of absolute power that wasn't to be reckoned with. Those who found themselves too close to the beings actually felt the pressure of their legs giving weigh while their heads hit the sand. An aura of absolute respect. Then, with a wisp of the wind, all the figures disappeared at once. A few seconds passed and silence terrorised the once scream-ridden battlefield only to be interrupted again by screams of an even higher calibre. The sounds of pure fear richocheted through the landscape, Drackensteins and Madiyans alike were falling like flies as the wind continued to wisp on by. Blood wrought the yellow sand, turning it into deeper shades of red. WHAT'S GOING ON?! Some screamed for their lives while comrades dropped like flies around them. The seven figures from before, nowhere to be seen while death struck the air like an immovable force. This battle was ending at the hands of an anomaly, the Drackenstinian advance was being brought to a halt at the hands of a wisp of wind. |  |
