[attr="class","likedotitle2"]THE PLOT
[attr="class","likedoinfo"]Earth-land is made up of one single continent. A vast placing of countries which were different in their own ways — magic wise, culture wise and even the landscape. They had adapted and varied depending on where they lived, though it was strucken briefly by times of conflict it was also peaceful. . . at least it used to be. It was sudden, like lightning — the kingdom far off that dwelled quietly in the land of marsh had taken a violent turn. Drackenstein; gaining its new king had become a corrupt group of people that raided villages and slaughtered other countries if they did not comply with their orders. They were selfish and immediately identified as a clear threat across Earth-land.
Many had been forced under the order of Drackenstein, bare without resources — the others taking to the outermost parts of Earth-land where they would hopefully find some form of shelter from the fearsome enemies that had now appeared. Those more familiar with forest dangers took to hiding in places where the Drackenstein could not reach them, protecting one another and defending their lands. Still the countries all across the land were gradually being trampled over and seized, others wiped out as if they had never existed in the first place. The time of peace was fading into the skies; out of their reach.
A good century had passed everyone by until Drackenstein came across the bountiful country of Madiya which rested far off in the barren and seemingly untouched lands. Though it seemed wise to threaten such a well-kept place for everything they held, surprisingly, the king of Drackenstein decided otherwise on this matter and invited Madiya’s royal family into his own home. It would be the first time a meeting was held in decision of a possible alliance — though everyone on the other side did not trust Drackenstein, they knew rejecting the offer would result in the possible destruction of their own kingdom.
The meeting was going well, despite the tension and conflict, the king was almost kind — welcoming to his guests. He made them feel at home, spoiled them with food and gifts. After Madiya’s short visit there, they had a change of heart towards the people of Drackenstein. Though, that change of heart did not last long. Nearly weeks after the return of home, they received word of an army which was headed in their direction, poised with weapons and magic. The emblem of Drackenstein was clearly revealed amongst their wear, evident that they were not coming to just visit. Confused and almost panicked by this, Madiya prepared themselves for the beginning of a long and harsh war.
Instead of being present in battle like always, the king of Drackenstein settled next to the bed where his wife slept, endeavouring to fight off a terrible sickness. She was coughing up blood everyday, desperation forcing him to bring in wizards that could possibly heal her. In the end they were unfortunately not powerful nor’ capable enough to fight off what foreign disease tormented the queen. Along with the war which lasted twenty years, her suffering also went on, though he did not give up. It appeared that his only hope was the book that had been taken from him. The book of Osiris.
Though most of Madiya’s royal family was unaware of this, their prince in the time that they had visited Drackenstein had taken the book. It was a dark and evidently corrupt item, powerful enough that it had manipulated him into taking it as a small and naive child. Yet, it was the reason for this war in the first place. The war which Madiya knew they were gradually beginning to lose. After years of avoiding that book, the prince decided that the only option to saving his people was to use what the Drackenstein army had been so desperately trying to retrieve. He stood before the thousands of them, on the edge of the castle walls and slowly opened it up.
A powerful and dark force bursted from the outstretched book, blanketing the entirety of Madiya in a eerie darkness as strange forms begun to take shape into what either appeared as monsters or somewhat humans. In the process, the people of Madiya started to suffer as the very beings they feared surfaced from hell to take control of their minds and very spirits. The prince dropped the book in shock of this outcome, fleeing into the shadows of night and far off into the desert where he desperately sought to escape such madness. Royalty cried out for mercy as the king lay dead across the floor, another taking its place on his throne — the Demon King.
Already exhausted and overworked, the Drackenstein’s knights were forced back due to the incredible amount of power that their new enemies wielded. They fled far-off into the desert, hoping to escape the frightening beings that now ravaged and took control of the once peaceful kingdom of Madiya. Many things changed, though it seemed clear to everybody now that Madiya was not a place to be touched, nor’ to ever trust. With the hope of his book now dwindling into something non-existent, the queen died shortly before the return of the knights and with news of the very force he feared to walk across Earth-land. It seems now that nowhere else was safe, and that the world had now been tainted with a history and presence at which would never leave.
Even after two years, in the present time, the plague of demons still walks across Earth-land. Though many are more familiar with their presence, gradually finding ways to subdue these beings in order to maintain their homes once again, the threat of the Demon King still remains as an almost ticking time-bomb. Fear instilled into the people of wether or not another war will eventually come — one at which they will not be able to win. The King of Drackenstein is still doing his utmost best to make sure the demon filth stay far off and away from his lands, despite the familiarity with hearing that the villages from the outside were being continually attacked, the kingdom is now surrounded by towering walls and heavy security to ensure that nobody else will lose their lives. Unfortunately, strangers are not as welcome as they had originally been. Civilization has formed within the Bad Lands, composed mainly of travellers, or those that had lost their homes from the war.
